I've added many new products at our site yesterday and today. You'll find all the New products at our site on the left. My favourite today is Sjoukje's case, I'm so happy we can have this (exclusively) for sale in Violarium! The idea is original and I've seen one like this stitched and finished and you can really put lots of things inside it. I'd love to start stitching and sewing this one at once :)

We also have a new free design by Love to stitch, it will be included in every order from now on. It contains actually two charts, another one may be stitched for a friend with the text "My friend you". Thank you Kirsi for sending the stitched design!

Lisäsin eilen ja tänään useita uusia tuotteita kaupan sivuille. Kaikki löytyvät näppärästi Uudet tuotteet -otsikon alta vasemmalta. Ehdoton suosikkini tänään on Sjoukjen kotelo, joka on Violariumissa myynnissä yksinoikeudella. Olen nähnyt tällaisen pisteltynä ja viimeisteltynä ja sen sisälle mahtuu paljon ristipistotarvikkeita! Haluaisin alkaa pistelemään ja ompelemaan tällaista heti :)

Saimme myös uuden Kirsi Huttusen suunnitteleman ilmaismallin, jonka lähetämme kaikkien tilausten mukana tästä eteenpäin. Se sisältää itse asiassa kaksi mallia, toisen voi pistellä ystävälle ja siinä lukee "My friend you". Kiitos Kirsi pistellyn mallin lähettämisestä!

Beautiful Atalie thread colours - Ihania Atalien lankoja

New Atalie thread colours have arrived today! Atalie packages always look so yummy, photos don't do justice to these threads! Most of the photos at our site are provided by Atalie, some I've taken myself. Especially the dark colours are difficult and of course the colours are different in every dye lot.

I took photos of some of the new colours and all new colours can be found at our site.

Uusia Atalien lankoja saapui tänään! Atalien paketteja on aina niin ihana saada, värit ovat todella herkullisia, kuvat eivät tee oikeutta niille. Suurin osa sivuillamme olevista kuvista on Atalien, osan olen ottanut itse. Erityisesti tummat värit eivät aina näy kovin hyvin kuvissa ja tietysti lankojen värit vaihtelevat värjäyserästä riippuen.

Otin kuvia muutamista uusista väreistä ja kaikki uudet värit löytyvät sivuiltamme.

Violarium's summer holiday in July - Violariumin kesäloma heinäkuussa

This year we will be on summer vacation two weeks in July, from July 6th to July 19th. Orders can be placed normally at our site and they will be processed again after the vacation, on Monday 20th.

Cords, buttons, threads, magazines... - Nappeja ja nauhoja, lehtiä ja lankoja

* We've received lovely buttons and linen/cotton cords and twines, these are perfect for finishing stitched ornaments for example.
* In July/August issue of Just Cross Stitch you'll find already nine lovely Christmas ornaments, as this is the Christmas ornament preview issue.
* The Gift of Stitching magazine has published back issue CDs, in these all the back issues of the magazine can be found.
* New Atalie thread colours have arrived and we have lots of colours in stock now.

Tomorrow (Ascension Day) is a public holiday in Finland, so the post offices are closed and orders will be processed again on Friday. Have a happy day! Here the sun is shining after the grey morning :)

* Just Cross Stitch -lehden heinä/elokuun numero ilmestyi jo. Tämä numero on etukäteiskurkkaus joulukoristelehteen ja siinä on yhdeksän erilaista joulukoristemallia. Näitä malleja ei tule olemaan varsinaisessa joulukoristenumerossa, joka ilmestyy syksyllä.

* Atalielta saapui uusia lankavärejä ja näitä lankoja on nyt runsaasti varastossa.

Huomenna on helatorstai ja niinpä tilauksia toimitetaan seuraavan kerran vasta perjantaina. Auringonpaisteista helatorstaita, Kellossakin alkoi aurinko paistamaan harmaan aamun jälkeen :)

PS. Olemme myyneet paljon Floba-kangasta ja ensimmäiset asiakkaat ovat jo ehtineet aloittaa pistelyn kankaalle. Tätä kangasta kehutaan kovasti, kannattaa ehdottomasti kokeilla! Zweigart Floba

Zweigart Floba fabric has arrived! 25 count Floba is a beautiful linen blend and it's very easy to stitch on this fabric over one fabric thread. The result will be delicate and rustic at the same time. This fabric is suitable for many kinds of projects.

Floba is sold in fat quarters (19" x 27"), which is bigger than a US fat quarter, as we measure in meters :) We're also happy to cut bigger pieces if needed!

As a special offer we now (until Sunday 24th May) include a surprise package of other fabrics into every order containing Floba! The surprise package contains at least six (6) aida or linen fabric pieces (you may wish for one or other or both). The size of one fabric piece is 20 x 20 cm (8" x 8") at the minimum.

In the photos above you can see the Floba fabric and some designs I've stitched on it. The last one is Poupées Russes by Tralala, only a start though :)

Odotettu Zweigartin Floba on saapunut! 25 count Floba on ihana pellavasekoitekangas, jolle on erityisen helppo pistellä yhden kankaan langan yli. Kankaassa on siis 10 lankaa senttimetrillä. Floba on eläväpintainen ja sopii hyvin monenlaisiin töihin.

Flobaa myydään suoraan pakalta 50 x 70 cm:n paloissa. Leikkaamme myös isompia paloja mielellämme tarvittaessa!

Tutustumistarjouksena lähetämme Flobaa tilaaville asiakkaille yllätyspaketin muita kankaita! Paketti sisältää ainakin kuusi (6) pellava- tai aidakankaan palaa (voit kertoa kommenteissa haluatko aidaa vai pellavaa vai molempia). Yhden palan koko on vähintään 20 x 20 cm. Patou et des poussières

We have received these very special new products from a French designer - Patou et des poussières! Patou has only started selling her designs to stores this spring and Violarium is among the first ones to receive these beauties for sale.

Patou has designed several pouches and cases, you can see them all at our site. My favourites are Le cottage, Le Moulin (The Mill) and of course the gorgeous L'Arche de Noe (Noah's ark), these are full of wonderful ideas!

Summer will soon be here in Finland too. We went to Southern Finland last weekend and saw green leaves in birches already! Not hear just yet, but at least we don't have snow anymore :)

Saimme ihania malleja uudelta ranskalaiselta suunnittelijalta, Patou et des poussières! Patou on alkanut myydä mallejaan kaupoille tänä keväänä ja Violarium sai mallit myyntiin ensimmäisten joukossa.

Patou on suunnitellut useita pussukoita ja koteloita, kaikki löytyvät kaupan sivuilta. Minun suosikkejani ovat Le cottage (Mökki), Le Moulin (Mylly) ja tietysti upea Nooan arkki - L'Arche de Noe, jokaisessa on hienoja ideoita!

Tänne pohjoiseenkin tulee kesä pikku hiljaa. Kävimme viikonloppuna etelämpänä Suomessa ja siellä koivuissa oli jo lehti! Täällä ei vielä ole tietoa edes hiirenkorvista, mutta lumi sentään on jo sulanut pihalta :)
