This weekend there will be again L'Aiguille en fête craft show in Paris and designers have been busy making new products! I will be going to Paris too to take a look at all those wonderful new designs, but some of them have already arrived to Violarium. Please take a look at all the new products at our site!

The talented Isabelles have both made a new book, Isabelle Haccourt-Vautier's Les Coeurs is filled with hearts and Isabelle Mazabraud-Kerlan's Les Samplers contains five red samplers. They are different and I love them both!

Tulevana viikonloppuna Pariisissa järjestetään L'Aiguille en fête -käsityömessut ja ranskalaiset suunnittelijat perinteisesti suunnittelevat messuille paljon uusia malleja. Isabelle Haccourt-Vautier's new book will soon be here! This book will be published on September 21st. Les coeurs d'Isa contains 80 pages with no less than 70 beautiful heart designs. There will be many seasonal designs and animal designs, but also other wonderful designs.

The idea in Isabelle's calligraphy heart series is, that there is always a word or a short text designed to the heart, like the word "Hiver" (Winter) on a design on the cover of the book. This book is the first part, she is planning to publish another one too later.

Isabelle Vautierin uusi kirja ilmestyy pian! Les coeurs d'Isa julkaistaan syyskuun 21. päivä. Kirja sisältää peräti 70 kaunista sydänmallia (80 sivua). Kirjassa on useita vuodenaikamalleja ja eläinmalleja, mutta myös paljon muuta kaunista pisteltävää.

Isan kalligrafiasydänsarjan idea on, että jokaiseen sydämeen on suunniteltu sana tai lyhyt teksti mukaan kokonaisuuteen, kuten esimerkiksi kannen yhdessä mallissa "Hiver" (Talvi). Tämä kirja on sarjan ensimmäinen osa, toinen osa ilmestyy joskus myöhemmin.

Stitching from Isa Vautier's book - Keskeneräistä pistelyä Isa Vautierin kirjasta

This is something I'm stitching at the moment - a heart shaped Christmas ornament from Isa Vautier's book Un petit fil rouge m'a dit... I'm stitching it on 25 count Floba fabric over one fabric thread, with DMC 815. In my opinion this Floba is perfect, rustic fabric for Christmas ornaments!

Only 5 months to go and then it will be Christmas time again :)

Pistelen muun muassa tällaista tällä hetkellä - sydämenmuotoista joulukoristetta Isa Vautierin kirjasta Un petit fil rouge m'a dit... Kangas on 25 count Floba ja lanka DMC:n joulunpunainen 815. Floba on mielestäni täydellisen näköinen ja tuntuinen kangas joulukoristeisiin, teen tätä yhden kankaan langan yli.

Happy July! Here you can see some of the new products I've added into our site this week. We've received lots of new charts and also the July/August issue of De fil en aiguille magazine.

Also a package from Atalie arrived and now we have a good stock of the most popular colours, like Rubis, Centaurée and Eucalyptus. Some yummy new colours arrived as well.

From Long Dog Samplers we received new charts too. I'd love to start another Long Dog Samplers design, even though I still have my St Hippolyte to stitch :) I'll try to post a new photo of it to the gallery before the vacation, as I plan to continue stitching it during my holiday next week. I've now stitched half of this beautiful sampler!

Ihanaa heinäkuuta! Tässä yläpuolella muutamia kuvia uusista tuotteista, joita olen lisäillyt kaupan sivuille tällä viikolla. Olemme saaneet uusia malleja ja De fil en aiguille -lehden Heinä/Elokuun numerokin saapui.

Atalielta saimme taas ison tilauksen ja suosituimpia värejä on reilusti varastossa, mm. Rubis, Eucalyptus ja Centaurée olivat loppuneet tilapäisesti. Muutamia ihania uusia värejä tilasimme myös valikoimaamme.

Long Dog Samplersilta tuli uusia malleja myös. Haluaisin kovasti aloittaa jonkun uuden ison merkkaustaulun pistelemisen, vaikka St Hippolytekin on kyllä kesken, haitanneeko tuo :) Yritän lisätä galleriaan tuoreemman kuvan ennen lomaa, olen nyt puolessa välissä ja aion jatkaa sen pistelyä lomalla.

Ihanaa viikon jatkoa! Päivitän tätä blogia vielä ainakin yhden kerran ennen lomaa myöhemmin tällä viikolla.

Kirjassa on paljon meriaiheisia malleja, kuten kirjan nimi antaa ymmärtää (la mer = meri), mutta myös muita kauniita sinisiä pistelyitä.

Isa Vautier: Le Temps nous égare

Happy Monday! During the weekend I finished stitching Isa Vautier's Le Temps nous égare. It was wonderful to stitch this and I think it turned out beautiful :) It's stitched on 28 count Graziano Riviera linen fabric, with DMC 815 and Pomme de Pin Séduction, with two strands over two fabric threads.

The poem in the design is written by Jacques Prèvert, I don't know if this poem has been translated into English. The poem is also a play on words, as the first and third sentence are pronounced in the same way and so are the second and fourth sentence.

Isa Vautier writes about this poem beautifully in her blog and I will try to explain the idea, as I'm not able to translate the poem exactly:

Le temps nous égare - Time misleads, deludes us, it moves ahead with big steps on the clock of life

Le temps nous étreint - Time embraces us, this precious time when seconds gallop so quickly

Le temps nous est gare - Time is a station for us, it shelters our memories

Le temps nous est train - Time is a train for us, as it moves ahead with great speed

Mukavaa maanantaita! Viikonlopun aikana sain valmiiksi Isa Vautierin Le Temps nous égare -mallin. Tätä oli ihana pistellä ja se on kaunis malli! Työ on tehty Grazianon 28 count Riviera pellavalle, DMC: langalla numero 815 ja Pomme de Pinin langalla Séduction, kahdella säikeellä kahden kankaan langan yli.

Runon on kirjoittanut Jacques Prèvert, enkä tiedä onko sitä käännetty suomeksi. Runo on myös sanaleikki, sillä sen ensimmäinen ja kolmas lause lausutaan ranskaksi samalla tavalla, samoin kuin toinen ja neljäs lause.

Isa Vautier kirjoittaa tästä runosta kauniisti blogissaan ja yritän kääntää runon ideaa:

Le temps nous égare - Aika johtaa meitä harhaan, se liikkuu suurin askelin elämän kellon päällä
